Blog Post: Documentary Film Project Dance for All People (DaPpers)

I’ve got a story to tell! Dance for All People (trademarked “DAPpers”) is a program for all who want to find a community to move with! Intergenerational, multi-abilitied, safe space for movers and shakers….literally. Medical students from Brown University partner with senior dancers who also collaborate with youth ensembles and professional dancers. Who wouldn’t want to make a film about this!!!

I am interested in what I call gorilla filmmaking: using a simplified set of equiptment to capture footage and make it sing with the editing process. I am just a girl with a camera. I love the ease, challenge, and retro feel of filmmaking in this way. I am also in love with the magic of the editing process. The participants of Dance for All People are a joy to work with. Check out some of the moments captured in still images so far this year from season 2025. We are currently in production.
